Recently surfaced reports suggest Prince Charles has come out of self-isolation after recovering from coronavirus, while the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles is still under strict seclusion.

A report from Mail Online, Clarence House has confirmed that the Prince of Wales has received clearance from health experts after spending seven days in strict quarantine. The 71-year-old Prince of Wales consulted his doctor, who gave him the all-clear, allowing him to come out of self-isolation, Clarence House spokesperson said on Monday.

Furthermore, the spokesperson also noted that Charles stayed under quarantine for seven days under medical guidelines and the British government. The NHS (National Health Service) guidelines require people who have tested positive for coronavirus and those showing COVID-19 symptoms to self-isolate for at least seven days.

The NHS website says you can come out of self-isolation if you do not have a high temperature after 7 days. It points out that people are likely to have a cough for several weeks even after the infection has gone, which means, you do not need to be in quarantine if you just have a cough after the 7-days self-isolation period.

The Duke has recovered from his mild case of the coronavirus; however, his wife Camilla is reportedly still under quarantine. She is highly unlikely to come out of self-isolation this week. As per NHS guidelines, the Duchess of Cornwall is required to self-isolate for 14 days, starting from the day Charles showed symptoms of the virus.

Charles’ good news was followed by reports about Her Majesty’s footman testing positive for coronavirus, just days after the Prince of Wales became infected with the deadly virus. Charles and his wife Camilla have been living in their Scottish haven on the Balmoral estate located at Birkhall.

The NHS tested Charles on Monday. Now, out of the self-isolation period, Charles is expected to be able to hold his meetings and even go for exercise. Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Queen, 93, is in good health and they are leaving no stone unturned in a bid to take necessary precautions.

The footman who reportedly tested positive for coronavirus is now self-isolating, The Sun reported on Sunday. The Queen arrived at Windsor Castle, along with the Duke of Edinburgh on Mar. 19. Charles last met his moth on Mar. 12 at Buckingham Palace for a meeting. Doctors suggest he could have contracted the virus the next day.
