Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Post Their Final Message On Their Sussex Royal Instagram
One day before officially stepping down as senior royals on Mar. 31, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared their last message on Instagram. The couple took to their official Instagram account The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (@sussexroyal) on Monday to post a message to thank their community while mentioning the recent worldwide changes.
“As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile,” the royal couple wrote, pointing out that every individual is capable of making a difference, as the current situation has proven. The duo said we must lift each other in a bid to ensure the promise comes to fruition.
Aside from that, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stated that everyone's health and wellbeing is of utmost importance at the moment, and it is equally important to come up with solutions for the numerous issues that have emerged amid the coronavirus pandemic. The duo confirmed that they wouldn't be using the Sussex Royal handle after this, fans will be able to keep a track of their important work elsewhere.
Continuing the lengthy message, the Duke and Duchess wrote "As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits," noting that they will be diverting their focus to this new phase in an attempt to understand how can they contribute. The post concluded with a message that confirmed both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will continue the work, despite their absence on the photo and video-sharing platform.
According to a report from People, the couple's spokesperson confirmed on Monday that both the Instagram account, as well as the website will remain active "for the foreseeable future." The spokesperson refrained from spilling the beans on the additional information on the couple's next steps.
Harry and Meghan concluded their message by thanking their fans for their unceasing support while urging people to maintain unity amind this global crisis. The duo even thanked the community for the inspiration and their shared commitment to the good globally. Finally, the message noted that they'd be looking forward to reconnecting with their fans soon.
Noting that they have been great, the Duke and Duchess asked their followers to take good care of themselves, and another. In April last year, the duo launched @SussexRoyal as part of establishing their separate office from Prince William and Kate Middleton.
