The astonishing K-pop girl group Blackpink, composed of Jisoo, Jeanie, Rosé, and Lisa, sets the record for the most viewed music video premiered on YouTube.

With over 74 million views, Blackpink dropped like a bomb their highly-expected single “How You Like That” on June 26, 6 P.M. KST. With only a day of the music video release, per Soompi, the song has surged multiple YouTube records as the views climbs up rapidly.

Blackpink surpasses the previous record sat by BTS for their “Boy With Luv” with Halsey, which took them more than 15 hours to achieve. Blackpink first-handedly reached the 60 million mark on YouTube for only 15 hours and 8 minutes.

Before the release, Blackpink collaborated with the mother monster, Lady Gaga, with the song entitled “Sour Candy” released in May, which climbed on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart owning the 33rd spot.

Blackpink is set to launch their first full-length album in September, Rappler reported. The new single marks the band’s comeback after a year of hiatus, who earned the title of being the first K-pop group to reach a billion views on YouTube for their music video.

The all-girl crew, also, became the first K-pop group to perform a stunt in Coachella and made the fans go wild singing their hit songs “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love.”

Currently, they are being named as the most subscribed music group on YouTube after reaching 38.7 million subscribers, who call themselves “Blinks.”

The music video highlights the girls’ variation of outfits -- from a rainforest setup to ice palace, then, to a grand hall full of statues with blue lights that captures the girls’ beauty and gracefulness alongside with their back-up dancers. Lisa’s hip-hop part took place in an Arabic setup, matched with an Arabic music and outfit.

The music video premiere sets the scene for a Q&A with the band. In an interview with TIME, Blackpink expressed that the song contains the message of perseverance and fighting the darkest times.

“We want everyone to find strength through our music…,” the girls mentioned when asked about how the single’s release will change the listeners understanding of the message during this time of a global pandemic caused by COVID-19. Blackpink, also, talked about fulling their roles as artists in showcasing their new single on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

The band performed their new song for the first time on Jimmy Fallon’s U.S. Chat show, Friday. The music video premiered on VLive and YouTube on June 26.
