Queen Elizabeth Allegedly Abandons Prince Andrew, Chooses Monarchy Over Her ‘Favorite’ Son
Queen Elizabeth has allegedly abandoned her once favorite son, Prince Andrew as he tries to prove his innocence in Jeffrey Epstein’s case.
According to In Touch Weekly, the queen is mortified with what Prince Andrew did. And even though the Duke of York hasn’t been convicted, his mother doesn’t understand why he would associate himself with Epstein.
“He’s brought so much disgrace upon the family. The royals have been through their fair share of scandals over the years, but nothing beats this,” the source said.
The tabloid also claimed that the queen distanced herself from Prince Andrew shortly after the news broke out that he might have sexually abused underage girls years ago.
But Prince Andrew is also adamant at clearing his name that he has agreed to cooperate with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) in their ongoing investigations.
“Andrew has finally agreed to cooperate with US authorities. If he can right this, maybe he can repair the rift between him and his mother,” the source said.
However, if the feds would find out that Prince Andrew was really involved in Epstein’s sexual abuse case, he could allegedly go to prison.
“If he’s in deeper than he admits and they discover he committed a crime, he could go to prison. That would be anyone’s worst nightmare. Authorities are now demanding access to surveillance footage from Epstein’s homes [in NYC and the US Virgin Islands], which were well-monitored with security systems,” the source said.
Amid his ongoing battle, Prince Andrew is reportedly leaning on his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Even though the royals have been divorced since 1996, the Duchess of York is still her ex-husband’s closest confidante.
And since Ferguson knows a lot of things about Prince Andrew, the feds allegedly want to talk to her as well. The source claimed that even though Fergie wants to protect her husband and two daughters, she has loose lips. As such, she could dig an even deeper hole for herself and Andrew if she agrees to take the stand.
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. Prince Andrew hasn’t officially been investigated by the feds. And Fergie hasn’t also been invited to take the stand on the matter.
The queen didn’t also abandon Prince Andrew in time of need. Rather, he was the one who decided to step back from his royal duties for the foreseeable future, and the queen just gave him the green light.
