Jameela Jamil has no chill for Kim Kardashian. She calls her toxic for posting a selfie in a corset and wants her fans to just ignore the reality star.

Jamil certainly did not mince words when it comes to Kim Kardashian. She posted a long message with regard to the reality star, after the latter reposted an image of herself in a corset that she donned for the 2019 Met Gala. It was essentially a video, wherein Kim’s tiny, tiny waistline was the highlight.

According to her though, she would not be saying anything if not because her fans were prompting her to, sending “over 1000 DMs” to react. Jamil said that she did not immediately jump on it not because she did not think the post was damaging and disappoint, because knowing her, she certainly did! This is the only the start of her long post.

She said that the fact that so many people wanted her to react is a sign that she certainly made an impact in the past years. She added that she have not been trying to cancel Kim Kardashian out all this time if that is what people are thinking.

Instead, over the years of her being outspoken about patriarchy and the need for women to step up, she was just arming her fans with knowledge to see or realize for themselves that Kim Kardashian’s tiny waist is just the result of complying with “bullshit expectation of women,” developed by patriarchy.

Jamil said that if her fans are already able to recognize the fact that Kim Kardashian was being irresponsible and reductive for promoting unhealthy and impossible beauty standard, then she already did her job.

She then went at Kim Kardashian, saying she is deluded. But, Jamil said this is not necessarily Kim’s fault. Instead, Kim, like ordinary women, has had decades of body image issues as well as obsession perpetuated by living in a world where her and her sisters’ appearances are scrutinized heavily. Therefore, striving for tiny waist and other impossible beauty standards is the consequence.

The problem is that she is spilling this wrongful thinking to those who idolize her, the same way she was deluded or influenced by the people she adores. Kim Kardashian is wrong, but Jamil said that it is possible that the reality star does not know she is harming her fans as much as her idols have harmed her.

She called Kim Kardashian smart and someone who should know better. But the fact that she keeps spreading these wrong messages about what is key to femininity and sex appeal is a sign that this is harm that Kim K “cannot stop doing.”

Therefore, there is no point at screaming at Kim Kardashian or dissing her. Fans should just be smart enough to unfollow her and others who are telling them things that hurt their self-esteem. she reminds her fans that they have the power, and not these influencers and celebrities. They can just unfollow brands and people who make them feel disempowered and the scales of happiness will quickly tip towards them.
