Crunchyroll Summer 2020 Anime Listing Features ‘Gibiate’, ‘The God Of High School’ And More
A new season is here and it means a new lineup of anime series. Crunchyroll has announced the latest summer 2020 anime for fans.
Meanwhile, the ongoing anime that got delayed due to coronavirus are set to resume broadcast in July. Series like “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” “Case Closed,” “Gundam Build Divers: Re:RISE” Season 2 will start airing new episodes soon.
Here’s look at Crunchyroll 2020 summer lineup:
1. “The God of High School” – One of the most anticipated Crunchyroll Originals is set to debut on Monday, July 6, 2020. The anime series is an adaptation of the manhwa by Yongje Park. It revolves around the life Jin Mori, who believes that he is the strongest high schooler. However, his life takes a turn when he is called to participate in “God of High School,” which is a tournament to determine the strongest high school student.
2. “Gibiate” – The series is set in 2030 and people are turning into different kinds of monsters based on their sex, age and race. This illness is called “Gibia.” A duo of ninja and samurai arrive in Japan and they face attacks from the monsters. The pair is striving to find a cure to the illness. “Gibiate” is scheduled to air from July 15.
3. “Rent-A-Girlfriend” – The anime series revolves around the life of Kinoshita Kazuya, who is a 20-year-old college student. He kissed his girlfriend, but their relationship went south within a month. Kazuya vows that he will never want to feel the pain again.
Later, Kazuya devises a method to date a girl. Things change when he meets the titular character – Mizuhara Chizuru. “Rent-A-Girlfriend” is directed by Kazuomi Koga, and the series is based on the work by Reiji Miyajima. The series is set to air from July 9.
4. “Fire Force” Season 2 – The new episodes of “Fire Force” starts airing from July 3 on Crunchyroll.
5. “The Misfit of Demon Academy” – After his 2000 years reign, a demon king is reincarnated and joins a school with all his descendants. The series will be airing from July 4.
6. “Healin’ Good Pretty Cure” – The anime series based on three girls teaming together to save The Healing Garden.
7. “Mr Love: Queen’s Choice” – The anime show from MAPPA studio will start airing from July 16.
