Kate Middleton and Prince William are allegedly torn apart and splitting, as one dubious headline suggests.

New Idea published the cryptic headline, which seemingly suggests that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going their separate ways for good.

However, what the article is really about is Middleton and Prince William performing their royal duties separately. The misleading headline was meant to trick its readers, but royal fans would be happy to know that the Cambridges are not divorcing.

While speaking with the tabloid, royal expert Phil Dampier said that Prince William and Middleton might space themselves out a bit more. And the royal couple might also start doing things to spread themselves so that they can cover a bit more.

Once the lockdown is lifted, Dampier is convinced that Prince William and Middleton will start performing more royal duties separately. And the engagements that they used to attend together might also be split.

Dampier’s predictions came in the heels of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quitting the royal family. Following their bombshell exit, there was a suggestion that the Cambridges would have to take on more duties on behalf of the Sussexes.

And just a few days ago, Middleton already teamed up with Camilla Parker Bowles for the first time. The in-laws appeared in a video call session with two hospices that they are patrons of.

Also, this week, Prince William and Middleton stepped out in public to attending their royal engagements separately. The Duke of Cambridge practiced social distancing while talking to a small group of people. He also wore his surgical mask while listening to a discussion on a possible COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the Cambridges also made headlines this week after they shared adorable photos on Father's Day. The first photo features Prince Charles leaning on Prince William’s shoulder while both of them have huge smiles on their faces.

The second photo shows Prince William playing with his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The young royals are hugging their dad while lying on the grass.

And another more formal photo shows Prince William sitting on a swing while cuddling his three children.

A source told People that the Cambridges have been spending more time together since the lockdown. Prince William and Middleton also get to bond with their kids more since they are all staying at Anmer Hall.
