‘Lucifer’ Lead Tom Ellis Confesses Re-Watching ‘Friends’
Netflix's popular series Lucifer star who played the lead character of Lucifer Morningstar that has an ability to get darkest and deepest secrets of humans. The actor who is loved by the audience for playing Devil, Tom Ellis, disclosed the details of his own secrets of life including his playlist of television series.
Tom Ellis doesn't consider himself just an entertainer but also a viewer who appreciates good content by other creators. The actor opened up with Men's Health magazine in an interview, where he spoke about television shows he is binge watching amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Just like his fans, even Ellis loves to revisit certain shows again while being quarantined. Although Ellis's Lucifer streams on Netflix, he loves to wander around various sources on the internet to dig shows. The 41-year-old actor was asked about the shows or movies that helped him to lift his spirits during the lockdown and he replied, there are not many shows to lift his spirits.
He told the magazine, he saw some extremely good stuff such as Normal People on Hulu and BBC platform and Dead To Me Season 2 on Hulu. Apart from considering the latest shows, there is something interesting on Ellis' playlist, Friends. Yes, the actor admitted watching Friends series for his viewing pleasure.
The Place We Go to Hide star revealed that whenever he wanted to feel uplifted, he goes back watching all Friends episodes because he knows they are going to be funny and reminds him of a better time including the "air of nostalgia".
While re-watching Friends episodes is an ultimate escape for Ellis, Lucifer series is similar for his fans who love to binge-watching the series during the pandemic. There are likable characters, witty banter, and far-out storylines that keep the viewers entertained throughout.
Thankfully, his fans don't have to wait for a long time as Lucifer's season 5 will premiere on Aug. 21. Lucifer's father, Dennis Haysbert, will be introduced in this new season. Netflix is currently streaming the first four seasons of the series and Lucifer's 5th season will be out soon in two eight-episode series.
According to Radio Times, there are negotiations to get the supernatural drama again with season 6 which wrapped up successfully. So, if Ellis' fans truly desire to see more Lucifer seasons, then they can look forward to getting the treat of two new seasons with The Prince of Darkness.
