Actor Danny Masterson Charged For Raping Three Women
Actor Danny Masterson has been charged for raping three women as Los Angeles County District Attorney and Los Angeles Police Department opened the investigation. On June 17, the District Attorney's office revealed that Danny Masterson has been charged for raping three women forcibly in separate incidents that took place between 2001 and 2003.
The warrant for the case was filed on June 16 as he was accused of rape between January and December 2001 to a 23-year-old girl. In addition, In April 2003, Materson raped a 28-year-old lady and in the same year between Oct. and Dec. he is charged for raping another woman whom he invited to his home in Hollywood Hills, she was also 23-year-old.
Reinhold Mueller, Deputy District Attorney, Sex Crimes Division disclosed that all these incidents occurred at the actor's resident. If the 44-year-old actor is found guilty then he will face a maximum sentence between 45 years to life in state prison.
The arrangement is supposed to be held on Sept. 18. However, the officials have declined to file charges of sexual assault in the other two cases due to insufficient evidence and statute of limitations.
In an official statement, the attorney of Masterson, Tom Mesereau told that his client is innocent and he is confident that he will get discharged by all the allegations once the evidence is finally shown some light and witnesses get an opportunity to testify.
Mesereau also mentioned about Masterson and his wife are completely shocked as the allegations are 20-year old and suddenly charges are filed. However, as per Mesereau, eventually, the truth will be in front of everyone as people who know Masterson's character are assured that the allegations are false.
In August 2019, four women accused and filed a lawsuit against Masterson and the Church of Scientology, as they were intimidated and stalked after they accused the actor of sexual assault. Masterson's Ex, Chrissie Carnell Bixler, Marie Bobette Riales, and two more anonymous accused the Church and Masterson of a physical invasion of privacy, stalking, and a conspiracy to halt justice.
In fact, there were more allegations that included those women's family harassment for keeping them silent. On the other hand, Masterson said, “This is beyond ridiculous”. That '70s Show actor further told a publication that he does not want to fight with his ex-girlfriend in front of the media like she wants him to do from the past two years.
