Photos of former President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump have resurfaced, igniting a social media firestorm. The images, which many users found inappropriate, led to the hashtag #TrumpPedoFiles trending on X, formerly known as Twitter. This trend emerged after newly unsealed court documents from a Jeffrey Epstein-linked lawsuit mentioned Donald Trump's name, though he was not charged in the case.

One viral post under the hashtag featured several throwback photos of a teenage Ivanka sitting on her father's lap and kissing him on the cheek. The post, which has garnered over a million views, included the caption: "It all makes sense now. [face vomiting emoji] #TrumpPedoFiles."

Among the contentious images is one where Ivanka, then 14, is seen in a miniskirt, sitting on a bed with her father. She hugs Trump and kisses him on the cheek. According to Snopes, this photo was part of a 1995 InStyle magazine photoshoot. Another image from Getty Images shows a 15-year-old Ivanka sitting on her father's lap at a Beach Boys concert at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in 1996. Additionally, there is a photo of Trump embracing his daughter and kissing her hair inside a car, and another where Ivanka leans against her father while touching his face.

These images have sparked a wave of reactions. Many commenters described them as "creepy" and "sickening." One user wrote, "Those are not appropriate poses for father and daughter. None of us know except Donald and Ivanka, but those photos speak to a perverted sense of entitled touching." Another commented, "This is the way you pose for pics with your girlfriend...not your young daughter."

However, not everyone viewed the images negatively. Some insisted that there was nothing inappropriate about the father-daughter interactions depicted. "You see these pictures and you think it's what a pedophile does? I am a father of two girls, and nothing in any picture is inappropriate," one person commented. Another added, "Be careful to not confuse normal affection with a daughter with pedophilia. Let's not go nuts. The comment he made about if she weren't his daughter was out of line, but these photos don't say anything but a loving father to me."

While there is no evidence of any improper relationship between Donald and Ivanka Trump, the former president's history of controversial comments about his eldest daughter has only fueled the debate. During a 2006 appearance on "The View," Trump commented on Ivanka's body and suggested he would date her if they weren't father and daughter. When asked how he would feel if Ivanka posed for Playboy, Trump responded, "It would be really disappointing -- not really -- but it would depend on what's inside the magazine," according to The Independent. He added, "I don't think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."

In another instance, Trump described Ivanka as "very voluptuous" during a 2006 interview on "The Howard Stern Show," saying, "She's actually always been very voluptuous. She's tall, she's almost 6 feet tall and she's been, she's an amazing beauty."

The resurfacing of these photos and comments coincides with a time when Trump’s name has appeared in unsealed court documents related to a lawsuit linked to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Although Trump was not charged in this case, the association has intensified scrutiny and criticism of his past behavior and statements.
