Barbra Streisand Gives Disney Shares To George Floyd's Daughter
Singer Barbra Streisand helped the 6-year-old daughter of George Floyd, Gianna Floyd in a unique way that no one had ever thought about. Barbra Streisand gifted this young girl that is worth long term while many celebs and people are on the streets and on social media to show their support for Black Lives Matter.
Streisand made Gianna a stockholder at Disney and presented her as a gift package. Gianna took her personal Instagram handle and thanked Streisand for this nice gesture. Gianna tagged @barbrastreisand and thanked her for the package and announced that now she is a Disney Stockholder along with a picture of holding official stock document provided by Disney.
While the number of shares provided to this beautiful young kid by Barbra is not revealed but considering the fact that she went out of her to buy this for Gianna, shows that she might have been really generous.
The ten time Grammy winner made sure that Gianna is happy with what she receives, not only in long term but also short term as she provides her with two copies of “Color Me Barba” from 1966 and “My Name Is Barbra” from 1965 to have a good time.
According to Business Insider, currently the shares of Disney are whopping $115 and the cherry on the top is Mouse House amid this pandemic as Wall Street history reveals that Disney is a firm company to invest over the period of time.
The company is known to be fairly stable investment as Mickey and co. usually make people money on their investment. Before the pandemic, the range of the shares were between $140-$150 and it is expected for the rates to slowly climb up as the pandemic ends.
This is not the only act of kindness the Gianna has received lately, amid support and love that entire Floyd's family is receiving. The 6-year-old has already received a complete scholarship package to Texas Southern University in Houston.
In fact, American rapper Kanye West has set a campaign for "college fund" to support her further studies. Additionally, there is an official page on GoFundMe created on behalf of the kid, which has already raised more than $2 million till date.
After George Floyd's murder by a white police officer on May 25, protests are going on across the country. Derek Chauvin, who kneeled the neck of George on the ground has been charged and arrested while other three officers present on the scene have also charged with abetting and aiding the murder.
