Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been making waves in Hollywood, not just for her royal status but also for her budding relationships with some of the industry's most notable names. However, her association with these A-listers, particularly Beyoncé, has raised eyebrows and sparked debates about the authenticity of these friendships.

Before attending Prince Harry's Invictus Games, Meghan was frequently seen at the Renaissance World Tour. Interestingly, her presence at these events seemed to garner more attention than the sporting event itself. American royal expert Kinsey Schofield discussed Meghan's growing bond with Beyoncé in a recent interview. Schofield remarked, “I feel like Meghan hobnobbing with all of these celebrities made a bigger impact than Prince Harry's Invictus Games. People were more glued to Meghan at the Beyoncé concert, she went to the Beyoncé concert twice."

Schofield went on to theorize that the former "Suits" actress might be leveraging these connections to maintain her relevance in the public eye. "I don't think that people are impressed by them," Schofield admitted. She further commented on the perception surrounding Meghan and Harry's brand, stating, “There is an element of shallowness that surrounds that brand, and they really need to shake that off.”

The former reality star also drew a comparison between Prince William's recent successful trip to New York City and the Sussexes' encounter with the paparazzi in May. Schofield pointed out the stark contrast in the reception of the two royals, noting how Americans were particularly enamored with Prince William.

Meghan's connection to Beyoncé, the Houston-born artist, played a pivotal role in the "Harry & Meghan" docuseries. In the series, Meghan revealed that she received a supportive text message from Beyoncé, applauding her decision to step back from royal life. The message read, "She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed."

However, as Meghan and Harry's circle evolves, experts like Hope Flynn have weighed in on the dynamics of their friendships. Flynn explained that as people grow older and circumstances change, it's natural for relationships to shift. "It can be hard enough and overwhelming for individuals to maintain friendships on a day-to-day basis, let alone when you meet someone new," Flynn said. She further elaborated on the challenges the Sussexes faced, including becoming parents, relocating countries, stepping down from royal duties, and constantly being under the global spotlight.

After the Sussexes' departure from the U.K. in 2020, their lives underwent a significant transformation. They moved to Montecito, California, and welcomed their youngest child, Princess Lilibet. Flynn commented on these changes, stating, "When we look at Harry and Meghan... it is no wonder they have unfortunately had to let go."
