Meghan Markle, once a prominent figure in the British Royal Family, is now carving out a new identity for herself on the West Coast, far from the palaces and protocols of her former life. Recent reports suggest that the Duchess of Sussex is keen on leaving her royal past behind, focusing on a new era of her career, and establishing herself as a Hollywood power player.

Andrew Morton, the famed author of "Diana: Her True Story," recently shared insights into Meghan's evolving journey. Speaking to Fox News, Morton remarked, “Meghan is making her own life on the West Coast.” He further elaborated on her relationship with the Royal Family, stating, “I just feel that Meghan’s never really embraced the rules and rituals of the royal family. The royal family is very much in the rearview mirror of her life. She’s moved on.”

Meghan's transition from royal life to California living has been evident in her actions and decisions over the past few years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's move to Montecito, California, in 2020 marked a significant shift in their lives. This relocation came after the couple decided to step back from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.

Morton pointed out Meghan's celebrity status, emphasizing the opportunities that California, with its plethora of billionaires and millionaires, presents. He noted, “So if they want to raise money for their charities, they’ve picked… very fertile ground. Other royals will envy that they can go to a dinner and raise millions of dollars for their charities.”

The couple's professional endeavors further underscore their commitment to building a life outside of royal confines. In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle inked an estimated $100 million deal with Netflix to produce a variety of content, solidifying their positions in the entertainment industry.

Meghan's individual ventures also hint at her desire to reconnect with her pre-royal passions. The former "Suits" actress is reportedly gearing up to relaunch her lifestyle blog, The Tig. Originally founded in 2014, The Tig was named after Meghan's favorite red wine, Tignanello. The blog, which she shut down following her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017, covered a range of topics, including food, travel, relationships, fashion, and wellness. While a relaunch date has yet to be announced, filings with the US Patent and Trademark Office suggest that the revamped blog will continue to focus on these areas.

As Meghan Markle embarks on this new chapter, it's clear that her priorities have shifted. While her time as a royal was marked by significant moments and challenges, her current trajectory indicates a desire to forge a path that aligns more closely with her personal and professional aspirations.
