In a recent episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored," the renowned TV host found himself in a heated exchange with former Arizona gubernatorial candidate, Kari Lake. The contention? Lake's repeated assertion that the 2020 U.S. Presidential election was stolen.

During the discussion, which aired on September 6, the two delved into the recent sentencing of participants from the January 6th Capitol riot, including members of The Proud Boys. However, the conversation quickly shifted to the legitimacy of the 2020 election results.

Lake, a known friend of former President Donald Trump, reiterated her belief that the election was rigged against the Republicans. “If the November 3rd election would have been rigged and stolen the way it was against the Democrats, I would be appalled as an American,” Lake stated. She further claimed that new evidence emerges daily, suggesting the election was compromised. “The polls are showing that the majority of Americans now believe that the 2020 election was wrought with fraud," she added.

Morgan, known for his direct and often confrontational style, was quick to challenge Lake's assertions. He pointed out that if the roles were reversed and Trump had won, Lake would likely be arguing the opposite. “If Donald Trump won that election, beaten Joe Biden and these were Democrats, hundreds of thousands of Democrats storming the U.S. Capitol... I can absolutely bet my house that you would have come on this show and argued the complete opposite,” Morgan retorted.

The 58-year-old TV host further dismissed Lake's claims about the majority of Americans believing the election was stolen. “No they don’t! That’s complete nonsense,” Morgan exclaimed. He emphasized that every credible poll he's seen indicates that most Americans do not share this belief. “Because it wasn’t stolen,” Morgan firmly stated.

Morgan also accused Lake of wanting to perpetuate the narrative that every time Republicans lose a fair election, they claim it's rigged. Conversely, when they win, they hail it as a shining example of democracy.

As previously reported by OK! Magazine, Trump has consistently told his followers that the 2020 election was unfair, despite a lack of evidence supporting this claim. After being indicted for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, Trump stated, “It was a rigged election, and it was a stolen, disgusting election. And this country should be ashamed."

The debate between Morgan and Lake is a testament to the deep divisions and ongoing debates surrounding the 2020 election, even years after the event.
