Before Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex, she was best known for her role in the popular legal drama, 'Suits.' However, even as an actress, the Royal family's influence was palpable, with certain restrictions placed on her character's dialogue.

According to 'Suits' creator Aaron Korsh, the Royal family had specific reservations about Markle's lines on the show. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Korsh revealed that the Royals explicitly barred Markle from saying a particular word on the series. This word, a slang term for male nether regions that rhymes with "mock," was deemed inappropriate for Markle's character. The line in question was: "My family would say poppycock." However, the Royals were concerned about potential misinterpretations and the possibility of the word being taken out of context in edits.

Korsh expressed his surprise at the Royal family's intervention, noting that it was "a little irritating." He mentioned that while the Royals didn't often weigh in on the show's content, when they did, it was noticeable. Despite the restriction, the line was eventually replaced with a more direct curse word, which, interestingly, was more acceptable to the Royal family. Korsh wasn't particularly pleased with the change, as the original line was a nod to expressions used in his own household.

The 'Suits' creator also touched upon the mystery of how the Royal family had access to advance copies of the show's scripts. He was aware of their "access" because feedback would occasionally be received on Markle's character. While he couldn't recall all the instances, Korsh did mention there were one or two more occasions where feedback from the Royals influenced the script.

Meghan Markle's journey from Hollywood to the Royal family has always been a subject of global fascination. After starring as Rachel Zane on 'Suits' for seven seasons, Markle's last episode aired in April 2018. Just weeks later, she transitioned from the world of fiction to real-life royalty, marrying Prince Harry in a grand ceremony. However, her time as a full-time working Royal was short-lived. In March 2020, Markle and Prince Harry made the significant decision to step back from their Royal duties and relocate to California.

The revelations from Korsh provide a unique insight into the intersection of Markle's acting career and her life as a Royal. It underscores the delicate balance she had to maintain, even in her professional endeavors, under the watchful eyes of the British monarchy.
