Jamie Foxx Debunks Blindness and Paralysis Rumors: 'I Finally Feel Like Myself Again'
Actor Jamie Foxx, 55, recently opened up about his harrowing experience after being hospitalized for several months due to a sudden, mysterious illness. He expressed that he finally feels 'back to himself'.
Foxx, with a following of over 16.8 million on Instagram, described his baffling illness as an 'unexpected dark journey'. Despite the challenges in his recovery, he mentioned, "I can see the light," and extended his gratitude to everyone who reached out with prayers and blessings, saying, "There are so many people to thank... You have no idea how much it means... I will be personally thankful to all of you." He also displayed gratitude towards a higher power.
In January, 52-year-old actor Jeremy Renner, who himself was hospitalized after an accident, commented on Foxx's post with the words, "Blessings to my friend!!!!" accompanied by a heart emoji. Numerous other celebrities also sent messages of support.
In a previously released video, Foxx clarified that he had neither lost his sight nor faced paralysis, putting to rest such circulating rumors.
Furthermore, he added, "I went through something I never thought I would. I know many were waiting or wanted to hear from me, but honestly, I didn't want you all to see me like that," his voice tinged with emotion.
While Foxx has been spotted multiple times in recent weeks, reports suggest that his health is still not 100% restored.
Back in April, while on the set of the movie 'White Action' co-starring Cameron Diaz, Foxx was suddenly taken away due to a 'medical complication' - the exact nature of which remains undisclosed.
At the time, Foxx's daughter, Corinne Foxx, took to social media sharing, “My father showed symptoms of a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, due to quick actions and meticulous medical care, he is on the mend. We're aware of the love you have for my father and are thankful for your prayers."
Given the severity of Foxx's condition, which even brought distant family members together, fans were understandably flooded with concern.
