The Deep Space actress hinted that the Friends reunion will be more than just an average reboot or update, viewers have been offered by other programs where the casts come together in a roundtable discussion and reveal set stories and bloopers.
While promoting her Netflix series, Kudrow told reporters that the Friends special will come to fruition, unlike the one-off reunion special which has been postponed for now. Admitting that the planning was far along, the actress explained that it was important for people to come together to make the reunion possible, Fox News reported.
The reporters asked Kudrow details about the much-awaited reunion, particularly whether or not it will be a scripted effort, or will it feature cast and show makers recalling the series' history. The actress immediately responded saying there are other things in it but refrained from divulging details as she believed they are good, adding that the plan can't be executed at the moment and they are planning to do it on another date.
The long-awaited project was initially slated to premiere on May 27 on HBO Max, just when the video-on-demand streaming service went live. Regrettably, the production studios were forced to shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic and that timeline was dropped.
Despite the delay and cancellation of the original timeline, Kudrow assured fans and told reporters that the show would come to fruition, one more time. Kudrow said they haven't discussed ramping up filming remotely, but noted that it would be an immediate no if the concept was proposed.
The project will not be concluded through remote production, she confirmed. Kudrow opened up about his experience on the popular sitcom, saying she was proud to be a part of it and admitting that she never stopped loving the show.
