Actor Val Kilmer speaks up about his past relationship with Angelina Jolie. He calls her a “soulful and serious angel.”

 

The Maleficent star’s former boyfriend Kilmer opened up about their past relationship. Many are aware that Jolie was romantically involved with her co-star in the film Alexander before marrying Brad Pitt. 

 

The pair were romantically involved, albeit briefly in 2004 after their film released. Kilmer spoke about his romance with the stunning mother of six in his memoir titled I’m Your Huckleberry. 

 

The Top Gun Maverick star revealed his powerful emotions toward the gorgeous 45-year-old actress, In Touch reports. Kilmer wrote in his memoir that he was rescued by an angel while referring to Jolie. 

 

The actor also mentioned that many people were inquisitive about the Eternals actress. He feels Pitt’s former wife is similar to other women and yet is wiser, more gorgeous, as well as, more grounded. 

 

The 60-year-old star also remembered his experience of working with Angelina Jolie on the sets of Alexander. The film was directed by Oliver Stone and the actor has fond memories of their work in the movie. 

 

It has been reported that the two met for the first time on a New York City street briefly before Stone cast them in his epic drama where they played the roles of King Philip II and Queen Olympia. 

 

The actor recalls how he told the director that he would only play the role if their characters have flashbacks with passionate scenes in the castle before going against each other. He was, of course, not serious about that. 

 

Val Kilmer also revealed he used to get impatient to rehearse with the gorgeous actress and could not wait to kiss her. Apart from remembering their shooting experiences on sets, the actor mentioned they had struck a strong friendship. 

 

The actor was present when the Maleficent actress’ mother was fighting a lost battle with her cancer. He could be there because they were staying in the same hotel at that time. 

 

Kilmer confessed he was besotted with Jolie even before they started shooting for their 2000 film Alexander together. The actor also shared his struggles with throat cancer in his memoir. The actor had dated several other beautiful women in the past including Cher, Cindy Crawford, Darryl Hannah apart from Jolie. 

 

However, Val Kilmer and Angelina Jolie’s romance did not last long because she soon met Brad Pitt while filming the spy thriller Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The pair allegedly fell in love on the set of the same film and the rest is history, Fox News reports.
