With her well-documented history of alcohol consumption now in the rearview, Tanya Tucker, the 64-year-old country music powerhouse, has taken to a new, thrill-inducing lifestyle. Friends and loved ones express worry that the "Texas Tornado" is spiraling towards the precipice, substituting alcohol for adrenaline-fueled sports.

The famed singer, known for her distinctively raspy voice, has been displaying an intense craving for risk-taking adventures since cutting back on drinking, an action that is raising concerns among those close to her, including her partner, Craig Dillingham.

"Tanya is notorious for her 'all in' approach, whether she's horseback riding or motorbiking," reveals a source close to Tucker. "Her hikes aren't leisurely strolls; they involve defying nature and pushing herself to her limits."

Tucker's fearless inclination is such that she derives excitement from reaching the highest point while rock climbing. "Her fearlessness is palpable, and the thrill she gets from these activities seems to fill the void left by alcohol," notes the insider.

Tucker's larger-than-life persona was on full display during her recent June 2 concert. Fans at the Grand Ole Opry witnessed history when the "Delta Dawn" singer made her entrance on horseback, thrilling the audience with her bold and unconventional approach. The concert, featuring tracks from her latest album "Sweet Western Sound," only emphasized her audacious nature.

"There are few things Tanya wouldn't attempt. Her courage knows no bounds. With her tequila days behind her, she appears to be seeking a replacement thrill," the source adds.

As previously reported, Tucker made the decision to abandon her drinking habits to safeguard her health, after contending with depression and an unsuccessful chemical peel, among other medical complications. The beginning of this year also saw her postponing a couple of concerts due to an infection.

However, her newly adopted, high-risk lifestyle has sparked apprehension among her loved ones. They worry her love for speed, showcased in her reckless horse riding stunts and plans for upcoming summer activities like rafting and bungee jumping, could lead to a grave accident.

"The fear isn't unfounded. Tanya doesn't do moderation. The concern is she may push herself too far and risk a serious injury," the insider concludes.
