Kenya Moore Accuses Ex-Husband Marc Daly of Neglecting Parental Duties: A 'FaceTime' Father at Best
In a recent court battle, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kenya Moore has accused her ex-husband, Marc Daly, of being a "FaceTime" father, alleging that he has only seen their daughter, Brooklyn, twice in the past two years. The revelation came as Moore defended herself against Daly's demand that she be held in contempt of court for alleged violations of a court order.
Earlier this month, Daly accused Moore of failing to inform him when their 4-year-old daughter was filmed for "Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) and a separate commercial for a pizza company. The court order in question stipulates that Moore must notify Daly of any on-camera opportunities for Brooklyn and ensure that they are age-appropriate.
Daly's accusations were not limited to the alleged violation of the court order. He also expressed anger over an incident during RHOA filming where Moore's co-star, Marlo Hampton, was seen kicking Moore's hotel room door while Brooklyn was inside. Daly claimed that Moore had also failed to respond to his FaceTime calls to Brooklyn, alleging that he had only spoken to his daughter twice in June.
Moore, however, has vehemently denied these allegations. She maintains that Daly was notified of the pizza commercial and that Brooklyn was unaware of the incident with Hampton, as she was asleep at the time and the situation was quickly resolved.
In her court filing, Moore further criticized Daly for his erratic behavior and unwillingness to stick to the established schedule for calls with their daughter. She claimed that Daly had visited Atlanta twice but failed to see Brooklyn on both occasions. Moore also stated that she had paid for and traveled with Brooklyn to New York on the two occasions when Daly did see their daughter.
"The Father has only seen his child twice in two years," the motion read. "In his failed attempt to have this Court and the public believe otherwise, the evidence will show that Father is simply a 'FaceTime' Father, who is inconsistent with even talking to his child at best.”
Moore's filing also accused Daly of hindering the proceedings, despite her attempts to settle the case. The couple is expected to face off in a divorce trial in the coming weeks. This ongoing legal battle between the two continues to unfold, shedding light on the complexities of their relationship and the challenges of co-parenting in the public eye.
