Erica Herman, the ex-girlfriend of renowned golfer Tiger Woods, has reportedly dropped her $30 million lawsuit against him. The lawsuit was based on an alleged violation of a verbal rental agreement between the two.

Herman, 39, initially filed the lawsuit against Woods' trust in October 2022. She claimed that she was "locked out" of Woods' Florida mansion "by trickery". According to her, the $30 million represented the "reasonable rental value" of the property for the remaining five years of their supposed agreement. The agreement allegedly allowed Herman to live at Woods' residence for a "certain duration of time" in exchange for performing "valuable services".

In response to the lawsuit, Woods' trust filed a motion to dismiss Herman's complaint in November 2022. The trust argued that by suing the trust instead of Woods directly, Herman was attempting to evade her obligation to adjudicate her claims in a confidential arbitration. This obligation was part of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) with Woods, which required Herman to resolve "any and all disputes, claims or controversies" with Woods through confidential arbitration.

Herman also had another lawsuit against Woods, in which she sought to nullify the 2017 NDA between them. However, the status of this lawsuit is currently pending the result of her latest appeal of a judge's order to dismiss it.

On June 29, a court document announced that the hearing for Herman's lawsuit regarding the oral tenancy had been canceled due to her dismissal of the suit. The document stated, "The Plaintiff, ERICA HERMAN, by and through her undersigned counsel, hereby dismisses without prejudice her Complaint, filed on October 26, 2022, pending resolution of the appeal in Herman v. Woods, and determination of whether her claims are subject to arbitration."

The case reportedly remains pending, with a hearing initially scheduled for August. The recent developments mark a significant turn in the legal battle between Woods and Herman, bringing an end to one of the major lawsuits filed by Herman against the golfer.
