Former President Donald Trump experienced a somber 77th birthday this Wednesday, reportedly cringing as supporters serenaded him with "Happy Birthday" in Miami’s renowned Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana. This reaction was not solely due to his ongoing legal battles but largely stemmed from his aversion to drawing attention to his advancing age, an inside source told The Post.

A day before his birthday, Trump, who pleaded not guilty to 37 federal counts, received an impromptu birthday tribute at the restaurant, during which he seemed to be impatiently waiting for the celebration to end.

Trump, attributing his seeming discomfort to an "out-of-control government," actually harbors a long-standing discomfort with birthday celebrations, the source disclosed.

The source further explained, "Trump is [known for] hating his birthday, and never celebrates it in a meaningful way." This sentiment reportedly escalated this year, with Trump reluctant to spotlight his age, demonstrated by his visible unease during the birthday song.

According to the source, Trump's wife, Melania, and their 17-year-old son, Barron, are anticipated to spend his birthday at his Bedminster golf course in New Jersey, with celebrations expected to be subdued. "No big party is planned," the source said, indicating a family dinner would probably mirror last year's observance.

Nonetheless, the legal challenges facing Trump did not prevent him from marking his birthday in his usual style – with a tirade on Truth Social.

Trump expressed his rage from Bedminster, continuing well past midnight with posts attacking President Biden and alleging that his legal predicaments were actually targeted at his supporters.

"Joe Biden will forever be remembered as not only the most corrupt president in the history of our Country, but perhaps, even more importantly, the president who, together with a band of his closest thugs, misfits, and Marxists, tried to destroy American Democracy!" Trump posted just after midnight.

He further stated, "They want to take away my FREEDOM because I will never let them take away your FREEDOM. They are not coming after me. They are coming after you. I just happen to be standing in their way, and I will NEVER be moving."

Trump, who holds the distinction of being the first president to face criminal charges over alleged hush-money payments to conceal adult film star Stormy Daniels' claims, faced a federal indictment over alleged improper storage of national security information at his Florida-based Mar-a-Largo estate on Tuesday.

Trump has maintained his innocence in both cases.

Requests for comments made to Trump's latest spokesperson, attorney Alina Habba, remained unanswered as of Wednesday.
