While there are many celebrities are stepping up to help with the Black Lives Matter movement, one person seems to be doing his best to help, and that is none other than Kanye West. 

According to GQ, the rapper has just given $2 million dollars to the families of those who were victims of police brutality, namely Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd. Part of this money will not only be for the legal fees for Arbery and Taylor but also for a college fund for Gianna, Floyd's six-year-old daughter. But that is not all, part of the money will also be used to help black-owned businesses based in Chicago, where Kanye is from. All three have died in the hands of police in the past months. 

Kanye has been making news lately for the changes that are visibly seen in his life. He has spoken not just of how he has found religion but also of his support for Trump, which does not sit well with many of his fans. 

The money, of course, maybe just chump change for the rapper, who according to Maxim, is the world's highest-earning musician. In the last year alone he earned about $170 million dollars. The nest ones on the list are Elton John with $81 million dollars, followed by Ariana Grande with $72 million. Most of the $170 million is not actually from his albums or royalties but from his partnership with Adidas and the sales of Yeezy sneakers. 

His sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner is also the list, having gotten a lot of money from her deal with Coty. But Forbes recently did an expose on Jenner and revealed that she did not reveal her real finances so they revoked her status as a billionaire. 

West, who celebrates his birthday on June 8, just turned 43 and received lots of love not just from his fans but also from his wife. Kim Kardashian posted a sweet message for her husband saying Happy Birthday to my King on her Instagram account. There were also some sweet pictures of the two, showing just how in love they are. 

This is contrary to the rumors the two were not in good terms right now. Last week, sources claimed that the two are having a hard time dealing with each other during the quarantine. Insiders claim that it had gotten so bad that they are staying on opposite sides of their mansion.
