Donald Trump's mounting frustration shows no signs of abating as he contends with a second indictment from the Department of Justice, issued on Thursday, June 8th. The former President's wrath was sparked further when Walt Nauta, a past aide, was indicted the following day, June 9, as part of special counsel Jack Smith's probe into the mishandling of classified documents.

Reacting to the news on Truth Social, Trump directed vitriol at federal investigators, renewing his allegations of political prejudice. "I have just learned that the 'Thugs' from the Department of Injustice will be Indicting a wonderful man, Walt Nauta, a member of the U.S. Navy, who served proudly with me in the White House, retired as Senior Chief, and then transitioned into private life as a personal aide," he lamented on his social media page on Friday.

Trump lauded Nauta's service, "He has done a fantastic job! They are trying to destroy his life, like the lives of so many others, hoping that he will say bad things about 'Trump.' He is strong, brave, and a Great Patriot," Trump went on to say, before launching a blistering attack: "The FBI and DOJ are CORRUPT!"

Just before this, the embattled former leader had used Truth Social to announce his fresh legal counsel, hinting at his forthcoming court appearance on Tuesday, June 13, for the second indictment of the year.

The former commander-in-chief faced his first indictment of 2023 back in April, accused of tampering with business documents after allegedly disbursing $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels as "hush money" to suppress their alleged affair in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential race.
