Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton to Embrace the Joys of Summer Post Shelton's 'The Voice' Departure: 'She's Over the Moon for Him'
Blake Shelton's journey on 'The Voice' has concluded after an impressive 23-season stint, sparking enthusiasm for his forthcoming professional pursuits and summer fun with spouse Gwen Stefani and their brood.
A source told a news agency that "The Voice" had a profound impact on Shelton and he would profoundly miss the show. "He'll continue to concentrate on his music, as that has always fueled his zeal. Additionally, he looks forward to spending quality time at his Oklahoma ranch with Gwen and her sons," the insider shared. Stefani is the mother to three boys—Kingston, 17, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9—from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale.
The source expressed Stefani's respect for Shelton's tough decision to leave the show, praising him for his unwavering dedication and hard work on 'The Voice' over the years. "Gwen appreciates the weight of Blake's decision to step away from the show, but she couldn't be more proud of him," the source said.
Although Shelton has bid farewell to the NBC show that initially brought him and Stefani together, Stefani is all set to return for the 24th Season, joining Shelton's successor, Reba McEntire, and returning coaches Niall Horan and John Legend.
The forthcoming season is slated for an autumn premiere. However, prior to the announcement of the finalized coaching panel, Shelton revealed that Stefani had concerns about her future on the show after his departure.
In an interview, the 'Barmageddon' host reminisced about Stefani's apprehension: "'Well, I guess they probably won't have me back ever again,' she said when I decided to step down last year. And I said, 'What are you talking about? You were invited to be a coach long before we became an item.' She then remembered, 'Oh, yeah, that's right. They did do that.'"
Shelton asserted his confidence in Stefani's continued involvement with the show, saying, "'Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're still going to want Gwen Stefani to be a coach.' And just as I thought, she received the call to return and was thrilled to accept."
Us Weekly had the opportunity to talk with the insider about Shelton's departure from 'The Voice' and his plans for the upcoming summer.
