Meghan Markle Enlists Kim Kardashian's Ex-Bodyguard for Enhanced Security Amid Coronation
Meghan Markle has reportedly strengthened her security team by hiring one of Kim Kardashian's former bodyguards. The mystery bodyguard, believed to have worked for Kardashian in 2016, was seen accompanying Markle on a hike in Los Angeles while her husband, Prince Harry, attended King Charles III's coronation in the UK.
Steve Stanulis, another former bodyguard for the reality TV star, suggested to The Sun that Markle might have chosen the sought-after security professional for both protection and prestige.
He explained that elite bodyguards often have police or military backgrounds, and their services are in high demand among high-profile clients. Stanulis added that hiring such personnel can also be a status symbol.
In addition to her new bodyguard, Markle appeared to have another layer of protection during her hike. The 41-year-old former actress was spotted wearing a Maya Brenner Clarity Retreat Necklace, a piece created in partnership with her friend and "Suits" co-star Abigail Spencer. The necklace is designed "to protect your peace" and assist in overcoming challenges.
With her upgraded security detail and symbolic necklace, Markle seems poised to become a major force in Hollywood. This development follows the couple's recent dismissal of Michael Jackson's former bodyguard, Alberto Alvarez, over alleged drunk driving convictions.
Since losing their publicly funded UK police protection in 2020 due to their departure from the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have engaged various personal bodyguards to ensure their safety.
