Angelina Jolie Shares This Surprising Reason Why She And Brad Pitt Named Their First Daughter Shiloh
Angelina Jolie is known not only for being a great actress but also a loving mother. In a recent interview, the actress made an interesting revelation of why she and Brad Pitt decided to name their first biological daughter Shiloh.
The Maleficent actress revealed in a recent interview that she would call herself Shiloh Baptist whenever she stayed in different hotels. The actress mentioned that she liked the alias because it sounded so biblical.
However, she also mentioned that it was not the reason why she and her former husband chose this name for their first biological child. The actress was speaking to Vanity Fair when she shared that the name Shiloh Baptist was shortlisted by her parents when her mother was pregnant with her first child.
However, she had a miscarriage and so the name could not be used. Jolie said her dad was filming in Georgia then and her parents liked this southern name. Even she had always liked the name and used it in the hotels’ registers, Koimoi.com reports.
Jolie also discussed how she plans to bring up all her six children in the same interview. The actress stated she wants them to know about different religions. The Salt star also revealed that Brad Pitt had once given her a bookshelf that had books on different religions.
The actress made an interesting revelation on how they do not mind taking the children to temples in some countries, as well as, churches. Angelina Jolie said she would not object them of picking any one religion or know about all of them.
Jolie and Pitt gave birth to their first biological child in Namibia. On May 27, Shiloh Jolie Pitt turned 14. Reports have it that the young girl is growing up wonderfully and is an interesting and super cool person.
Although their Shiloh was not born in the United States, she has been mostly raised in the U.S. When she was about to be born, Jolie spent a sizeable portion of her time in Africa. Jolie was working as a refugee ambassador for the United Nations then, SheKnows reports.
It is interesting to note that none of the former couple’s six kids including Shiloh are on social media platforms. This is pretty impressive and uncommon in this age and day.
While both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are typically known to maintain relative secrecy as far as their six kids are concerned, there has been no dearth of little snippets surfacing about their personalities. Shiloh has always been in the spotlight ever since she was an infant.
