Prince William Allegedly Torn Between Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth Amid Fights For The Throne
Prince William is allegedly torn between Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth as the two senior royals fight for the throne.
According to Life & Style, Prince William is finding it to be a difficult balancing act but he is confident that Prince Charles and the queen will be able to sort things out.
A source told the tabloid that the monarch wants to pass on the throne to Prince William and not to Prince Charles. The insider also claimed that the queen thinks Prince William is the rightful person to take over the British monarchy alongside his wife, Kate Middleton.
The 94-year-old also allegedly hopes that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will just accept her decision to bypass them. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall insists that they should head the monarchy after the queen passes away or abdicates.
Prince Charles and the queen are allegedly arguing over the latter’s desire to not name him king. And the heir to the throne vowed to not go down without a fight.
However, the rumor-debunking site, Gossip Cop debunked the claims made by the tabloid. The publication said that Prince Charles and the queen aren’t fighting over the throne.
It is also unlikely for the queen to want to bypass Prince Charles from his future role as the head of the monarchy. After all, the dad of two has been waiting for the time that he will lead the United Kingdom.
And the Order of Succession also states that Prince Charles, who is the queen’s heir, will follow in her footsteps when she dies or abdicates. And the only way for Prince William to be king is if Prince Charles dies or abdicates.
This isn’t the only time that the tabloid published a false claim about Prince William and even Middleton taking over the throne. Months ago, the tabloid claimed that Prince William and Middleton have been named as the new king and queen of the United Kingdom.
However, this isn’t true either. Today, Prince William is still second in line to the throne of succession. And his wife won’t become queen when he is crowned as king. Rather, Middleton will be known as a queen consort.
And the only time that the order of succession will move forward is if and when the queen dies or abdicates. Today, the monarch is still healthy and able to fulfill her royal duties.
