Former President Donald Trump criticized Meghan Markle for her supposed disrespect towards the late Queen Elizabeth II and expressed surprise over Prince Harry's invitation to King Charles III's coronation. In an interview with GB News' Nigel Farage, Trump did not provide specific reasons for his claim that the Duchess of Sussex was "very disrespectful to the Queen."

Trump praised Queen Elizabeth II for her decades of service and lack of controversy, saying, "For decades and decades, she never made a mistake… I don't know, I can never think of a mistake she made, she was never controversial."

Regarding Prince Harry's invitation to the coronation, Trump was taken aback, given the controversy surrounding the prince's memoir, "Spare," which revealed contentious details about the royal family.

Trump told Farage, "I was surprised that Harry was invited, to be honest… I think that it was very nice that they invited him, but I was a little surprised [because] he said some terrible things… and the book ['Spare'] was just horrible."

Nevertheless, Trump believed the coronation would be a "great day" for King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, as they would represent Great Britain well and demonstrate their love for their country.

Prince Harry will attend the coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, while Meghan Markle will remain at their Montecito, California home with their children, Prince Archie, 3, and Princess Lilibet, 1.

Trump has previously expressed his disapproval of the Sussexes, particularly Markle. He claimed she was controlling Prince Harry and predicted their marriage would end when Harry grew tired of "being bossed around" or Markle found someone else she preferred. In December 2021, Trump first accused Markle of being disrespectful to the royal family and claimed that Prince Harry was being "used horribly" following the couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Regarding the Sussexes' decision to step back from the royal family, Trump called it a "sad" moment for Queen Elizabeth II, whom he described as a "great woman" with a "flawless time" during her 70-year reign.
