Jamie Foxx, known for his hard work and equally intense play, has left loved ones worried for his well-being after a recent health crisis landed him in the hospital for over a week, sources reveal to GLOBE.

"Jamie might appear to be in top physical shape, but it's no secret that he pushes himself to the limit in the gym, parties like he's in his twenties, and then shows up for work at 7 a.m. for grueling 14-hour days without taking breaks," an insider shares.

The 55-year-old Oscar-winning actor, best known for his roles in Ray and Django Unchained, was rushed to an Atlanta hospital on April 11 after collapsing on the set of Back in Action with Cameron Diaz. Family members hurried to his side, fearing the worst, according to sources.

Although Foxx is now able to joke about the incident, his team describes his medical emergency as "very serious." Insiders say his distraught family is "desperate" for him to prioritize his health amid rumors that he experienced a severe stroke.

The already demanding schedule for Back in Action became even more taxing when an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered on set, causing production delays and extended work hours for the cast and crew, insiders report.

Less than two weeks before his health scare, Foxx also performed late into the night with friends at Miami's LIV nightclub.

"He was back on the Atlanta set the next day, running on fumes," another source divulges.

A confidant characterizes Foxx's alarming health episode as a "classic wake-up call" but acknowledges that it will be difficult for the high-octane star to alter his lifestyle, as he "lives life in the fast lane — at 1,000 miles per hour!"
