Paris Jackson, the 25-year-old daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, is taking her personal safety seriously by walking with a formidable guard dog and carrying pepper spray on the streets of Los Angeles, according to insiders, Globe cliams.

Paris was recently spotted with a menacing black Doberman sporting a "Do Not Pet" bandanna while seemingly holding a can of pepper spray on her keychain after having lunch at Beachwood Cafe.

"Paris may come across as eccentric, but she has to care for herself and learned the hard way she can't take any chances with her personal safety," an insider reveals.

"This dog is protecting her and no one would be surprised to see Paris carrying pepper spray. It's what any red-blooded American girl in her position would do."

Paris has faced a tumultuous journey in the years following her father's unusual death from a fatal overdose in 2009. At the age of 15, she attempted suicide and was later hospitalized for self-harm when she was 20.

In 2021, GLOBE reported that Paris had associated with a group of girls in a moon-worshipping coven, participating in half-naked rituals late at night. Now, sources say she has reestablished her sense of self, made significant progress in her music career, and landed acting roles, such as a guest appearance in Donald Glover's upcoming Amazon series, Swarm.

Given her peculiar upbringing with a drug-addicted father, insiders say it's no surprise Paris feels the need for added protection.

"There are all kinds of nutjobs out there — crazy Michael fanatics and serious threats — following her every move," says the source. "Paris is protecting her personal space."
