Todd Chrisley's former daughter-in-law, Alexus "Lexi" Whilby, claims the currently imprisoned reality star has a history of "bullying" her and exhibiting racist behavior.

Whilby told the Daily Mail on Wednesday, "I endured the bullying comments for years in silence, but karma dealt with it so that I didn't have to." Whilby was married to Chrisley's eldest son, Kyle, from 2014 to 2018.

The ex-couple does not have children together, but Kyle has a biracial daughter, 10-year-old Chloe, with former partner Angela Johnson.

Todd, who is currently serving a 19-year prison sentence alongside wife Julie Chrisley for tax evasion and fraud, previously had custody of Chloe while Kyle faced his own legal issues.

Whilby also revealed to the Daily Mail that Todd's racist behavior was shocking, considering he is the grandfather to Chloe, a "beautiful black child."

As evidence of the alleged verbal abuse she experienced, Whilby shared a voicemail message with the outlet that she claims the "Chrisley Knows Best" alum once sent her.

In the audio, Todd can be heard telling Whilby, "No darling, you don't need protection. You need an attorney." He later adds, "Call your brothers. Find out about that trust that you've got—that's got that $100 million in it because I'm coming to get my part of it."

Todd's voicemail also alleges that a lawsuit he filed against Whilby is "not a vendetta" but is instead about "forcing her to do the right thing."

The context of the call is unclear, but the Daily Mail reports that Todd sent the messages after discovering that his former daughter-in-law had assisted the Georgia Department of Revenue in its investigation into his tax fraud scheme in 2017.

Page Six could not independently verify the authenticity of the voicemail, the timing of the message, or whether it was a form of retaliation. Todd's attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding Whilby's allegations.

However, Todd has previously accused his son's ex of attempting to "extort" him.

"Folks, Alexus Whilby tried to extort our family 4 20k or tell the press we r racist, we chose 2 keep the 20k and see her in court. #slander," Todd tweeted in December 2014. The tweet remains active on his profile.

Whilby denied to the Daily Mail that Todd ever filed a lawsuit against her. In a separate tweet, Todd used racist language toward his former daughter-in-law.

Despite Todd's past tweets, he appeared to change his attitude in June 2020 by condemning a racist troll who targeted his granddaughter Chloe during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Whilby told the Daily Mail that she learned from the experience the importance of being "a good person behind the scenes and being true to yourself and others."

"I walked away from a family who, at the time, seemed to have it all and many people thought that I was crazy," she added. "I was empowered. I know who I was then and now, and no amount of fame could make me compromise my morals."
