Bidens Face Social Media Fury Following Whistleblower's Allegations of Hunter Biden Cover-Up
The Biden family is facing a backlash from Republican politicians and conservative social media users after an IRS whistleblower accused them of helping to "cover up" Hunter Biden's alleged tax crimes. The whistleblower, a former criminal supervisory agent at the IRS, claimed that their disclosures contradicted the sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee.
As the news broke, critics expressed their outrage on Twitter, condemning President Joe Biden and his son for their alleged unlawful actions. Will Scharf, a federal prosecutor from Missouri, tweeted, "They cover up Hunter Biden's many real crimes. And they indict President [Donald] Trump over fake crimes. Are you watching? The left is so hell-bent on winning that they're eroding the rule of law and trying to turn us into a banana republic."
Radio and TV personality Mark Simone shared an article about the recent allegations, writing, "Major breaking news — a whistleblower exposes a deep cover-up in the Hunter Biden investigation and involvement of Merrick Garland in it and, of course, corrupt Lester Holt doesn't even mention it on the evening news."
Former Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of the Treasury Monica Crowley added, "The entire System is protecting Joe, Hunter, and the rest of these Biden slimeballs. It's corrupt to Hell and back. Uproot it all."
Another user expressed their frustration in the comments section of Crowley's post, saying, "Nothing ever gets done. I'm so tired of seeing people get away with their crimes."
The whistleblower's attorney, Mark D. Lytle, had initially requested that his client be granted whistleblower privileges. He stated that his aim was to "ensure" his client could "properly share his lawfully protected disclosures with congressional committees."
Lytle added, "Thus, I respectfully request that your committees work with me to facilitate sharing this information with Congress legally and with the fully informed advice of counsel."
