Much to the delight of OnePlus' loyal fans, the Chinese phone maker is slated to unveil one of 2020's most-awaited flagship phones next month. The OnePlus 8, as well as its Pro model, dubbed the OnePlus 8 Pro will be 5G-ready, according to the company's chief executive Pete Lau's revelation earlier this month.

While still days away from hitting the store shelves, the hotly-anticipated OnePlus 8 series has been subject to all sorts of rumors and speculations. Despite the lack of an official confirmation, specification details of the two devices have already found their way on the web, thanks to renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal.

If reports doing the rounds online are anything to go by, the OnePlus 8 standard version will sport a 6.55-inch display with an FHD+ resolution, an impressive refresh rate of 90Hz and even feature a hole-punch cutout to accommodate a 16MP front shooter. OnePlus has already confirmed that the phone will pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor, along with a large 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.0 of storage.

As far as the photography department is concerned, the device is tipped to house a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 48MP main sensor. If the leaked spec sheet turns out to be true, the OnePlus 8 will be drawing inspiration from 2019's OnePlus 7T in multiple areas, Android Central reported.

Thankfully, the OnePlus 8 could be backed by a robust battery, which is a noteworthy upgrade over its predecessor. Agarwal suggests the impending handset will draw its juices from a large battery with 4,300mAh capacity and Warp Charge 30T fast charging support.

There are no prizes for guessing that the Pro model will boast an array of radically upgraded features as compared to the OnePlus 7T Pro. While it will pack the Snapdragon 865 processor under the hood, just like the OnePlus 8, the Pro variant will ship with a whopping 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offer a hefty 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.

On top of that, the flagship handset will feature a mammoth 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ screen resolution and a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. It will house a 48MP rear-mounted sensor, which will be a part of a quad-camera setup. It features a 16MP front shooter.

Moreover, the OnePlus 8 Pro will reportedly feature a 4,510mAh battery that supports 30W wired, as well as wireless charging. The phone is rated IP68, suggesting it can withstand dirt, dust, sand and even resist submersion up to 1.5m underwater for about thirty minutes.
