Prince Harry and Meghan Markle declared their intention to step down from royal duties in Jan. this year. However, Harry reportedly lost a big privilege after his big decision. 

The new arrangement signified that Harry and Markle will not be able to represent the Queen until Her Majesty reviews it after 12 months. Also, the couple wishes to have financial independence and have planned to distribute their time between North America and the United Kingdom.

At present, the couple is residing in Tyler Perry’s mansion in Los Angeles amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. Their new decision also means they would not be able to use the words “Sussex Royal” or “Royal” in their endeavors. This could be an unhappy time for the former Duke of Sussex, who has been given the prestigious title since his birth. 

The couple’s representative stated it was agreed they would not use the word “royal” now due to the prevailing rules of the UK Government. 

They had applied for the trademark of the Sussex Royal, which is also their Instagram account’s name. However, even those applications were withdrawn later. 

Robert Hardman, a royal writer told Radio 4 that the couple received a big “setback” about the decision made around their proposed brand name. The writer added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had spent a hefty sum of money to register the trademarks. 

Their spokesperson said that following the rules of the UK Government, the couple has decided not to name their non-profit organization as Sussex Royal Foundation. Additionally, they would not use the words “Sussex Royal” anywhere after spring 2020, Daily Express reports.

Meanwhile, a royal project close to Harry’s heart has been shifted away from the Royal Foundation that held it originally. The project known as the Endeavour Fund will now be a part of one of his other projects called the Invictus Games. 

The Prince set up this charity to offer financial help to sick, injured, and wounded ex-service personnel. Harry had indicated he will make changes to his favorite project during its award ceremony in Mar. this year. 

In other related news, it is being said that Prince William and his younger brother are now back to talking terms once again. As Harry settles down in his new life in the United States, he has been allegedly facing certain challenges including security issues. The two brothers are in touch with each other.

According to an insider, Prince William has advised his younger brother to come back to London or shift to a safer place. It has been reported that he is quite concerned about the well-being of Prince Harry, Daily Express writes.
