Drake Bell's Alleged Suicide Threat Following Dispute with Wife Triggers 911 Call
After a disagreement with his estranged wife, Drake Bell reportedly told his family he intended to get drunk and hang himself, according to a 911 call in which he was reported missing.
TMZ has acquired the 911 call, in which a representative from the Orlando Police Department (PD) expresses their deep concern for Drake's well-being.
The officer is in conversation with another department, attempting to pinpoint Drake's cell phone location, describing the situation as a "possible attempted suicide" and stating, "Basically, there is a celebrity who had a falling out with his wife."
Orlando police became involved after they were informed that Drake was in an Orlando hotel room, sending text messages to his family in California, threatening suicide.
As previously reported by TMZ, police in Florida declared Drake missing on Thursday, with Daytona Beach authorities announcing he was MIA and "considered missing and endangered."
Drake was last seen on Wednesday night driving a 2022 gray BMW, and a photograph of him with his son at SeaWorld in Orlando on Tuesday was acquired.
Drake was eventually located safe and unharmed on Thursday afternoon, and he later addressed the situation on social media, saying, "You leave your phone in the car and don't answer for the night and this?"
Given the content of the 911 call and the circumstances, it appears that the police took appropriate action.
