Kate Middleton reportedly found a walk with Harry and Meghan in Windsor, following the Queen's passing, to be "one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do" due to the "ill feeling" between the two royal couples, according to a new book. The walk took place after the Queen's death in September, and the new book, Our King by Robert Jobson, discusses the appearance of Kate and William alongside Harry and Meghan as they greeted royal fans outside Windsor Castle.

Although the walkabout might have appeared as a display of unity following the loss of the monarchy's central figure, Mr. Jobson claims that sources informed him this was not the case. He wrote in the book, "Catherine later admitted to a senior royal that, such was the ill feeling between the two couples, the joint walkabout was one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do.”

The King includes several other startling claims and revelations, such as concerns that Meghan's participation in the Sandringham Summit via video link would not be secure. Additionally, the book claims that after the Sussexes' explosive Oprah Winfrey interview, Charles and William decided they could not be alone with Harry, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Tensions between the self-exiled royals and the royal family remain at an all-time low. Earlier this year, Prince Harry released his controversial memoir, Spare, which criticized the Royal Family and its senior members. He alleged that Prince William physically attacked him on one occasion.

In their Netflix documentary released a month earlier, Harry also criticized Prince Charles as a father and took aim at other male members of the royal family for their marriage choices.

As preparations continue for King Charles' upcoming coronation, Harry and Meghan have confirmed they were invited but have not yet stated whether they will attend. Reports suggest that the Sussexes are negotiating their appearance, with The Times writing that they wanted a role for their children, including acknowledging Archie's birthday.

The deadline for RSVPs reportedly passed on Monday, but palace aides were still uncertain if the couple would attend. However, Page Six reported that plans were being finalized for Harry and Meghan to fly in for the coronation.

A source revealed, "There have been lengthy discussions between the Sussexes and the palace." Another source added, "All families are difficult, but this is no normal family, of course. Harry has a lot of questions about how the event will work.”
