Joining protesters who are bent on shedding light on police brutality, Simpson shared a post admitting that she too has been disturbed by the injustice. Over the last few days, the fashion designer said she has been taken to her knees in prayers and is crying out as she listens to the testimonies. Simpson revealed how she has been able to find hope even during America's dark times.

In the caption section of the post, Simpson wrote she is hearing God's anointed power in loyal hearts, adding that God will deliver the souls of those who are righteous but are crushed in spirit. She concluded the post using the hashtag #BlackoutTuesday and stating that she believes whatever hate can do, love can do better.

The social media movement was graced by several celebrities including Chelsea Handler, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck, Tiffany Trump, Mandy Moore, Kevin Bacon, Don Cheadle, Steve Harvey, and Jon Bon Jovi. A myriad of other A-listers took to the streets across the nation to participate in the protest.
