Kate Middleton Reportedly Cautious of Meghan and Prince Harry as Coronation Nears: Concerns Over Potential Drama Loom
As the British royal family prepares for a series of significant events, including birthdays, anniversaries, and King Charles' coronation, Kate Middleton is reportedly feeling uneasy about potential drama involving Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
According to an insider, the Princess of Wales is apprehensive that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might disrupt the upcoming celebrations, which include the birthdays of her youngest son Louis and daughter Charlotte, as well as her 12th wedding anniversary with Prince William.
Speaking to Heat, the source stated, "Kate's had to contend with this 'look at me' behavior from Meghan and Harry over and over again, and she really doesn't want them ruining the next few weeks." The source further added, "Their stunts always seem to happen at the worst possible times – on or around important days or milestones."
While Kate is known for her genuine and sincere nature, the repeated instances of coinciding drama have left her feeling wary about the Sussexes' next moves. The Mirror has reached out to representatives of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for comment.
Notably, Meghan and Harry announced their departure from the royal family on the eve of Kate's 38th birthday. Last December, the first look at Netflix series Harry & Meghan was released while Kate and William were attending the 2022 Earthshot Prize awards in Boston, leading royal experts to claim that the Sussexes had "hijacked" the visit. The second trailer dropped a week later, coinciding with Kate's Together At Christmas event. Moreover, Harry's memoir Spare was published just a day after Kate's birthday.
As preparations for King Charles' coronation continue, discussions are still ongoing regarding what the Princess of Wales will wear on the big day. There are concerns that Kate may break with tradition, as it has been suggested that Charles' coronation will be a more modest affair compared to Queen Elizabeth's in 1953. Some have speculated that royal ladies, including Kate and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, may not wear tiaras for the event.
