Kim Kardashian has publicly apologized to her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian for an insult she made in 2018. The 42-year-old entrepreneur took to Instagram on Monday to share pictures and clips from her Tokyo vacation with daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

In several snapshots, Kim donned a "Sanrio Style" outfit, which bore a striking resemblance to an ensemble worn by Khloe during a family trip to Japan five years prior. Back then, Kim had criticized Khloe and Kourtney's outfits, calling them "f--king clowns."

Social media users were quick to point out the similarities between Kim's current outfit and Khloe's previous attire. One user commented, "She definitely needs to apologize," while another demanded, "Justice for Khloe."

Khloe responded to her sister's post, writing, "I'm waiting...," prompting Kim to reply, "I'm sorry Khloe, and Kourt too." Kim also posted a photo of Khloe and Kourtney on her Instagram Story, acknowledging that "People grow and evolve, OK??? LOL I'm SORRY."

This apology comes years after a 2018 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" aired, in which Kim criticized her sisters' outfits during their Japan trip. "You look like f--king clowns," she told them, adding that it wasn't appropriate to dress up like "a f--king Japanese geisha" unless they were at a geisha house.

Kourtney defended herself, saying, "I thought my hair looked good last night. And I thought my outfit was fun for Japan." Kim retorted, "Your outfit would've been great if you didn't have f--king blue eye shadow." Kourtney then quipped, "You think I look like a clown? Well, you look [like] you just won the Tour de France and you're cycling around town."

At the time, Kim emphasized the importance of maintaining a good image while in Japan, urging her sisters to communicate their expectations to their glam team. "Especially [since] we're in Japan. Everyone just thinks, 'Oh my God, we're in Japan, everyone [goes] full Japan.' And probably the people that live here make fun of people like that," she said.

Fast forward five years, and Kim has returned to Japan with her four children, posting a series of photos from their vacation, including a visit to a hedgehog café. The family trip comes nearly four months after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finalized their divorce.

In light of her recent apology and reflection on personal growth, it seems Kim has come to realize that people's tastes and opinions can change over time, and she is now more understanding of her sisters' fashion choices during their previous trip to Japan.
