Reese Witherspoon was seen visiting her lawyer's office in Nashville on Friday, amid her ongoing divorce from her husband Jim Toth. The 47-year-old actress looked upbeat as she arrived at Marlene Eskind Moses' office.

Witherspoon was photographed talking with two women while sitting in her car outside Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin PLLC. Later that day, she was spotted wearing a bright pink sweater, white pants, and brown high-heeled wedges as she went out to lunch with her mother Betty, 74, and brother John, 50.

News of Witherspoon's divorce filing came to light last week, when it was reported that she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending their nearly 12-year marriage. Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed that both parties had signed a prenuptial agreement in March 2011, which would provide adequate provisions for their assets and debts.

The former couple, who share a 10-year-old son named Tennessee, will be required to attend parenting classes and submit a certificate of completion to the court within 60 days. Witherspoon will also submit her prenuptial agreement for the judge's approval, along with her permanent parenting plan.

Witherspoon and Toth announced their separation via a joint Instagram statement on March 24, just days before their 12-year wedding anniversary. They expressed their intention to move forward with love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything they have created together.

The pair emphasized the importance of prioritizing their son and the rest of their family while navigating the challenges of their breakup, asking for privacy during this difficult time.

Following the announcement of their separation, Witherspoon was seen without her wedding ring. The actress and Toth were married in March 2011 after dating for almost a year. Witherspoon has two other children, Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
