Raquel Leviss' Restraining Order Against 'Vanderpump Rules' Co-Star Scheana Shay Dropped
The legal battle between "Vanderpump Rules" stars Raquel Leviss and Scheana Shay is far from over, despite the dismissal of a temporary restraining order against Scheana. The reality TV personality made it clear that she and Raquel will never be friends again.
Speaking with reporters outside the courthouse, Scheana stated that she planned to consult her legal team to discuss possible next steps. She accused Raquel of using the restraining order as a PR stunt to deflect attention from her affair with Tom Sandoval and to save face. Scheana criticized Raquel for allegedly abusing the court system and taking away resources from genuine assault victims.
Scheana's attorney, Neama Rahmani, commented, "This isn’t reality TV. This is the real world, and Raquel's actions have real consequences." Rahmani accused Raquel of filing false police and medical reports, as well as a frivolous restraining order petition. He maintained that Scheana did not punch Raquel or give her a black eye, adding that Scheana only pushed Raquel after the latter grabbed her wrist.
Rahmani continued, "When Raquel realized that she would lose in court and couldn't just drop it, she decided not to show up at all." He stated that Scheana and Ariana Madix, another friend of Raquel's, were prepared to expose Raquel's alleged lies. Instead, Raquel will now "have to live knowing that she betrayed two of her best friends."
A source close to Raquel, however, insisted that she stands by her original statement, claiming that Scheana punched her in the face. The source cited photos of Raquel's bruised eyebrow bone and slashed eyebrow as evidence, dismissing Scheana's attempts to deflect the issue.
The temporary restraining order against Scheana was officially dismissed when Raquel failed to appear in court for a hearing on the matter. Scheana attended, prepared to share her side of the story, but the judge dismissed the restraining order due to Raquel's absence.
Raquel had previously announced at the "Vanderpump Rules" reunion that she would not pursue the restraining order, and the court hearing made the decision official.
The restraining order's dismissal marks the end of one chapter in the "Scandoval" affair. As previously reported, Raquel obtained a temporary restraining order against Scheana three weeks ago, alleging that Scheana attacked her after discovering Tom Sandoval's infidelity. Scheana's camp has denied the assault allegations, suggesting that Raquel exaggerated the incident for the cameras during the reunion show taping.
The restraining order complicated the reunion, as Raquel and Scheana were kept apart during the taping, with each star in a separate trailer. Meanwhile, Tom has expressed regret over cheating on Ariana but remains in a relationship with Raquel.
