Barbra Streisand is allegedly very obsessed with her pets to the point that she wants to have them cloned.

A source told Globe that Streisand knows that her dogs are not getting any younger that’s why she wants to have them cloned while she still can.

“Violet and Scarlett turned five and Barbra feels the time is right to start the cloning process again since it takes at least several months. Everyone knows she cloned her dog Samantha and so she should be a pro at this. Creating clones from cloned dogs is known to result in healthy offspring,” the source said.

The source added that Streisand’s obsession with her dogs must have been causing some issues with her and her husband James Brolin. After all, he allegedly put his foot down about his wife having more dogs after Streisand got another one from her breeder.

“James must be having a fit. He thinks three dogs are enough! But he knows by now to keep his mouth shut. When Barbra gets a bee in her bonnet, it’s best to let her do what she wants. Barbra’s hoping for two more at least. Violet and Scarlett are different in personality to how Samantha was, but they’ve got her curly hair,” the source said.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only rumor that’s been surrounding Streisand in recent months. In January, Globe also alleged that Streisand and Brolin’s marriage has been falling apart.

“He’s pounding back the supplements, eating clean and greedy, and juicing, and he’s getting up at dawn to exercise, everything from doing laps and water calisthenics in the pool to yoga. That’s all fine by Barbra, but she likes to laze around and satisfy her cravings,” the source said.

However, one should take all these claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Streisand has an obsession with cloning her dogs. But it is true that the singer loves her pets and treats them as if they’re her family.

It’s not also true that Streisand and Brolin’s marriage is falling apart because of their different lifestyle choices. All these claims were just concocted to make it seem as though there are problems in the couple’s household even when there are none.

If anything, the couple’s marriage remains strong to this day.
