A source is giving an insight into the new romance between Avril Lavigne and Tyga.

Speaking to People, the insider claimed that the 38-year-old songstress and the 33-year-old rapper “are getting to know each other.”

While details remain scarce about their tie, the same source told the magazine that “it’s very new,” adding that “it’s very casual.”

Neither Tyga nor Lavigne has addressed the reports. They have yet to break their silence regarding the matter.

The latest claims about the two artists come as they were photographed together, sharing a kiss while on a public engagement outside the Mugler X Hunter Schafer party at Paris Fashion Week.

Monday’s sighting of Avril Lavigne and Tyga as they displayed affection for each other made headlines, with reports saying they seemingly confirmed their rumored romance.

In its report covering the outing, Page Six said that the “Complicated” singer and the “Taste” rapper were also seen holding hands at the party, aside from sharing a kiss.

The outlet continued that Tyga, at one point, even placed his arm around Lavigne’s neck and grabbed the bottom of her face using his other hand.

Earlier that day, the two artists attended the Ottolinger show, where they were spotted looking smitten and whispering in each other’s ears as they sat next to each other in the front row, as per the publication.

News broke that Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun were no longer engaged and had called it quits late last month.

Reps for the “Sk8er Boi” singer spoke to Page Six, which published the piece on February 21, and confirmed the split.

However, the breakup seemingly came as a surprise to the “Karma” singer, with his rep telling the outlet that he and Lavigne “were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him.”

At the time, People also learned from an insider that the two artists had “been on and off for the past two months,” adding, however, that they were “no longer together as a couple.”

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses first spotted Avril Lavigne and Tyga together with a group of friends days before the breakup news emerged.

In its report published on February 20, TMZ included photos of the two personalities from the outing at NOBU.

The outlet also learned then that Tyga and Lavigne looked comfortable hanging out, but sources noted that they are good friends and have been for some time, before adding that it is nothing romantic.
