Mod Sun Breaks Silence Following Avril Lavigne Split Reports: ‘There’s A Plan For It All’
Mod Sun is sharing his thoughts on social media following the emergence of split reports involving him and Avril Lavigne.
On Tuesday, the 35-year-old artist took to Instagram a series of photos featuring himself performing on stage.
He wrote in the caption, “In 1 week my entire life completely changed,” before noting, “I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken,” alongside a broken heart emoji.
The “Internet Killed The Rockstar” artist continued, “Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing,” adding that he has “the best friends in the entire world.”
In the end, Mod Sun expressed his gratitude “for always having my back,” before saying, “See you on stage.”
Tuesday’s post from the artist comes a week after reports of a split between him and Avril Lavigne made headlines.
In its report covering the social media update, Entertainment Tonight recalled what it learned from sources at the time.
An insider reportedly close to the “Sk8er Boi” singer told the outlet then that the two personalities “have broken up and called off their engagement.” As added, “Things haven’t been great between Avril and Mod Sun for quite some time,” before saying, “And after trying to make things work, Avril realized the relationship wasn’t right for her.”
On the other hand, though, a source, who is said to be close to the “Flames” artist, claimed then that he “said they were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”
TMZ was the first to report about the matter, noting in its piece, published on February 21, that sources said Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne were no longer together after she had made the decision to call off their engagement.
The two artists had reportedly tried to make things work between them recently, going “on and off” over the last few months, with insiders reportedly close to them adding, however, that it just wasn’t right.
The outlet later pointed out that it remains unclear why the “I Remember Way Too Much” singer and the “Let Go” artist broke up, although it said they were told there was no cheating involved on either side.
Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne got engaged in March 2022, nearly a year after they first sparked romance speculations.
