Selena Gomez Deems Bella Hadid Her ‘Girl Crush’ Years After Feud Speculations
Selena Gomez is appreciating the beauty of Bella Hadid. She even called her her “girl crush” in her latest posts on social media.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old celebrity took to her Instagram Stories to share TikTok clips of herself lip-syncing to a viral audio clip of the 26-year-old model saying, “So my name, my name is Bella Hadid.”
Gomez wrote in a text, “I wish I was as pretty as Bella Hadid,” to caption the clip, which features her with a flattering filter.
In a follow-up video, the “Only Murders In The Building” actress said, “Instead, this is me. I accidentally laminated my brows too much…my name is Selena Gomez,” before adding, “See! It doesn’t even sound sexy.”
Selena Gomez subsequently concluded her posts with another installment, sharing a photo of Hadid from her 2022 Vogue cover feature. She captioned the image with a hashtag that read, “girl crush.”
In its report covering the social media posts from the “Lose You To Love Me” singer, People said it all comes years after she and Bella Hadid sparked speculations that they are in a feud.
It recalled that they followed and unfollowed each other on Instagram after the songstress began dating The Weeknd, who was previously in a relationship with the model.
Hadid and the “Blinding Lights” artist reportedly dated on and off for years from 2015 to 2019, while he and Gomez were in a ten-month relationship in 2017.
The magazine later noted that the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum follows Hadid and her sister, Gigi, on social media. However, the case is different for the model as she still does not follow the singer.
In a similar report, Us Weekly recalled that Selena Gomez previously discussed his friendship with The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, following their split, during an interview with Billboard.
In the exchange with the outlet, published in November 2017, the Rare Beauty founder revealed that having “such a true friendship” with the “Save Your Tears” singer is “something that I’m really proud of.”
Gomez continued that she had “never experienced anything like that” in her life,” adding that she and The Weeknd “ended it as best friends.”
She also stated that “it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other],” before noting that it “was pretty remarkable for me.”
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd began their relationship earlier in 2017. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala that May.
In October 2017, news broke that the two artists had called it quits after nearly ten months of dating, with Us Weekly noting at the time that a source close to the songstress confirmed the matter to them.
