Priscilla Presley is allegedly fighting to take control of her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s millions following the latter’s death.

According to Us Weekly, Lisa Marie’s finances were in the bad shade before her untimely passing. But this doesn’t mean that she didn’t leave behind a generous sum for her children.

However, her mom Priscilla wants to take control of her daughter’s money to ensure that it wouldn’t just be spent on unimportant things.

“The current situation with the will being contested is a real mess. It’s sad for everyone involved,” the source said.

The insider claimed that Lisa Marie had a $1 million debt in taxes and her $100 million trust had been decreased to just $14,000 after she sued her former manager Barry Siegel.

“Lisa Marie knew she’d made some terrible decisions. So, Priscilla feels strongly that she should be overseeing what Lisa Marie left behind. Lisa Marie and Priscilla often disagreed. They were both strong-willed with strong opinions,” the source said.

The source also claimed that another sticking point between the mother and daughter had to do with Priscilla’s close relationship with Lisa Marie’s ex Michael Lockwood.

“Michael and Priscilla have always gotten along. He’d rather have Priscilla take over as trustee, not Riley. Priscilla had custody of the twins for a large portion of the custody battle between Michael and Lisa Marie. She doesn’t want the girls to be exploited by Michael,” the source said.

The source added that Priscilla only has clean and good intentions when it comes to their family’s estate. In fact, even before Lisa Marie’s death, she was the one who managed it.

“She likely thinks she knows how to handle the money and is better equipped to maneuver it than Riley. Lisa adored Riley, and she leaned on her for advice about everything. Riley is proud Lisa Marie put her in charge – she wants to honor what her mother would’ve wanted,’ the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that the Presley family is having issues when it comes to Lisa Marie’s millions.

Before her death, Elvis Presley’s daughter listed Riley as the person in charge of her will and their family’s estate. Since Riley is an adult, she can very well take care of things. And there’s no reason for Priscilla to meddle.
