Paul Rudd Reveals Children’s Thoughts About His ‘Ant-Man’ Role In MCU
Paul Rudd is sharing how his two children take it with him being a superhero in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 53-year-old actor discussed the matter with People at the premiere of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” in Los Angeles on Monday. As noted, he revealed that his teenage kids are not impressed with his titular role.
Rudd told the magazine that he thinks he is “dad more than I’m Ant-Man or in the MCU.” He subsequently stated that his two teenage kids “don’t care, nor should they.”
The “This Is 40” actor shares two children with Julie Yeager, with the oldest now aged 17.
They welcomed their firstborn child in 2006 and had their second four years later.
Citing a profile from “Nylon Guy,” Us Weekly says in a report that Paul Rudd met his wife after working on his 1995 romantic comedy title, “Clueless.” As stated, it came after he arrived in New York City and was late for an audition.
The Marvel star is said to have left his luggage with a woman working at a publicist’s office, with the outlet noting that this person would later turn out to be his wife.
Yeager and Rudd tied the knot in February 2003.
Meanwhile, it was not the first time that the “How Do You Know” actor shared an insight into his children’s thoughts about his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In 2019, Paul Rudd told Us Weekly and other publications at the premiere of “Living With Yourself” that he is “just” his children’s father.
At the time, he revealed to the reporters that his two children are “big Marvel fans.” But, he noted that while “they’re excited to see all of the movies,” they “just want to know what Tom Holland is like,” before adding, “Really at the end of the day, I’m just their dad.”
Elsewhere in the engagement with People, published Tuesday, Paul Rudd talked about how his role as Ant-Man in the MCU has changed his life. It comes as he has played the character for nearly ten years after obtaining the post in 2013.
The “Knocked Up” actor told the magazine that “it’s like this kind of thing doesn’t just happen, so it’s coming up now on nearly 10 years, which is a long time,” adding that it has “been a wild ride.”
Rudd continued that he has “gotten to go to many different countries” and “met lots of people” he never would have met. He added, “And to be part of something that has such global interest has been an amazing experience.”
