King Charles’ Coronation Will Be Attended By International Figureheads, Kings, Queens, Celebrities Like Tom Cruise?
King Charles’ coronation will allegedly be a star-studded affair.
According to Life & Style, King Charles will be inviting other kings and queens from different countries, international figureheads, and even celebrities like Tom Cruise to his May 6 coronation.
A source also claimed that King Charles’ coronation will be a mix of new and old traditions – with plenty of flairs and some have to do with a wardrobe.
“Charles is clashing with his aides over his outfit because he wants to ditch more outdated elements like stockings and riding-style pants. Camilla also refuses to wear anything too stuffy – she’d rather be in Dior or U.K. designer Fiona Clarke,” the source said.
King Charles’ coronation will also allegedly feature several performances by artists.
“Charles is having a big say in performers. There’s going to be a variety of genres represented. Diana Ross, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Sting, Rod Stewart, and Barbra Streisand are all on Charles’ wish list,” the source said.
Of course, there is also some ongoing talk regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s possible attendance.
“The general palace consensus is that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be banned. No one wants them ruining Charles’ moment after all the Spare drama. The coronation is fast approaching. So, who’s in and who’s out will come to light very soon,” the source said.
As of late, some details from King Charles’ coronation have already been released. For instance, it has already been confirmed that King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and the other members of the royal family will make an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
There are also reports suggesting that the coronation ceremony wouldn’t be as long and expansive as the previous coronation ceremonies.
However, there is no proof that King Charles will invite high-profile figures and celebrities to his coronation because they are not necessarily needed there.
He has also made a final decision as to whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be invited to the ceremony. But regardless of what he decides to do, Prince Harry and Markle won’t join the royal family on the balcony.
After all, there are still some tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family following the release of Spare, as well as the couple’s Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.
