Sam Asghari and Britney Spears are allegedly facing some issues in their marriage after the former forced the latter to go to therapy.

A source told Closer UK that Spears became upset with Asghari’s suggestion that she needed professional help. After all, the “Toxic” singer hoped that her husband would be the first person to understand what she was going through.

Since her conservatorship was lifted, Spears just found herself in more controversies than ever before.

“Britney believed that being freed from her conservatorship would be the answer to her troubles. But while many A-listers have coping mechanisms for the attention they attract, Britney doesn’t and that’s starting to cause tension between her and Sam. It’s causing some members of their inner circle to fear they may be heading for a heartbreaking divorce if they can’t resolve their differences,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Spears and Asghari are at very different points in their lives right now. Asghari just wants to enjoy the first year of his marriage to Spears, but the latter has so many commitments up her belt.

“Sam loves going out, but it’s becoming clear that doing that with his wife is extremely complicated. Sam understandably doesn’t want to be holed up at their mansion 24-7, but it feels like most times they venture out, there are problems and it’s creating some resentment on his part, which is causing rows and putting a strain on their marriage,” the source said.

What’s worse is that Asghari is allegedly realizing that his role of protecting Spears at all costs can be very challenging for him. And he no longer feels that he’s up to the challenge.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Asghari is forcing Spears to go to therapy. And even if he is, his desire for his wife to seek professional help must be coming from a good place.

There’s also no indication that Asghari and Spears’ marriage is falling apart. The couple just tied the knot last year and their marriage still has a long way to go. For now, the most important thing is that the couple has each other’s backs at all times.
